GUEST: She's a wax doll that belonged to my great-grandmother. And according to the information we have, the doll dates about 1853. We've always been told this was her original box, her original clothing. I have no idea if that's true or not.
APPRAISER: This is an English poured wax doll, which means that she is solid wax. Some of the waxes have a composition base and then wax over the top, but she is solid wax. She is made in England. We don't know for sure who she is. Sometimes there's a mark on the leg, but I don't even want to take her apart to take a look at that. Her condition is excellent. It is an all-original outfit, and her value is about $1,500.
GUEST: (gasps)
APPRAISER: If she did not have this original little outfit, she would be a doll that would be about $600, maybe $700. This outfit is fabulous.
