School of fish Fish do not make any sounds.

You've got it, they do make sounds. Fish make sounds just like many of the other animals in the sea. Many sounds underwater animals make are for: 1) sending a defensive or attack warning signal, 2) helping the animal determine its location (echolocation), 3) communicating with other members of its kind, or 4) issuing a mating call.
