For hundreds of millions of years, sharks have ruled ocean waters. Their ability to hunt has earned them a top seat on the marine food chain and the nickname "the perfect predator."

What makes a shark so good at what it does? A sophisticated sensory system plays a big role. Six highly developed senses help a shark find its prey. Click on the shark below to find out more about these six senses. Hint: think of where most of your senses are concentrated.
