Floodwaters stirred up by Hurricane Katrina breached three New Orleans canals—the Industrial, the London, and the 17th Street canals—causing the now sickeningly familiar inundation seen throughout the city. Below, view two animations that show where the breaches occurred and what areas of the city were flooded as a result.
