Included on the site are movies and reconstructions of plate movements from 750 million years ago to the present (and even 100 million years into the future).

Deconstructing Pangea
http://www.uky.edu/ArtsSciences/Geology/webdogs/plates/pangaea-1.html
This page, put together by Paul Howell (see Seychelles Through Time), offers a Lambert azimuthal projection of the breakup of Pangea from 150 million years ago to the present, along with accompanying text. It also provides links to Mollweide and azimuthal equidistant projections of same.

Paleomap Project

Books
Biogeography and Ecology of the Seychelles Islands. Edited by D. R. Stoddart. The Hague: Dr. W. Junk Publishers, 1984
The classic scientific work on the Seychelles, with articles on climate, geology, habitats, wildlife, and human populations and impact.

Biogeography (Second Edition). By James H. Brown & Mark V. Lomolino. Sunderland, Mass.: Sinauer Associates, 1998
Rewritten and reorganized since the first edition appeared in 1983, this textbook offers a solid overview of the ever-changing discipline of biogeography. It features a good section on the gigantism/dwarfism phenomenon. (See Why Do Islands Breed Giants?)

Spectrum Guide to Seychelles (Third Edition). Nairobi, Kenya: Camerapix Publishers International, 1996
Light but well-researched, this book's great draw is its profusion of good maps and mouth-watering color photographs.
