The American Kennel Club www.akc.org/ Founded in 1884, the American Kennel Club is dedicated to the maintenance and showing of purebred dog breeds. Its Web site contains information about each of the 150 recognized AKC breeds as well as on choosing, raising, showing, and breeding dogs.
