Interview: Ted Landsmark Talks about Black Lives Matter
LANDSMARK: I had the good fortune to be involved in the Civil Rights Movement. And at this moment, as I watch young people who are involved with Black Lives Matter and with a number of other movements of social justice, I am utterly thrilled to see a new generation that has picked up on the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and really advanced it in very significant ways, both in terms of the spirit that young people bring to that, but also in terms of the tools that they've been using. They've been using social media and different forms of visual displays and depictions to, um, share information and to advance a movement, which is certainly overdue in terms of achieving the results that we thought would have been achieved by now.
Ted Landsmark shares how thrilled he is that the younger generations are continuing the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement.
