GUEST: This was my grandmother's.
APPRAISER: Mm-hmm.
GUEST: And one of her brothers worked for Coraopolis Glass Company, which is where I believe this was made. When my parents passed away, it came down to me.
APPRAISER: Well, that's certainly the city, Coraopolis.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: The company that made it was the Consolidated Glass Company.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: And it was invented by Reuben Haley in about 1926. And it's called Ruba Rombic...
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: Which I love that name, Ruba Rombic. In all my years on the Antiques Roadshow, we haven't seen any Ruba Rombic come through the show.
GUEST: Oh, really?
APPRAISER: So this was a wonderful surprise today that you brought it.
GUEST: That's wonderful.
APPRAISER: Do you have an idea of value?
GUEST: No, not really.
APPRAISER: The damage on here does affect the price a little. It's in the stopper.
GUEST: Right.
APPRAISER: It's in a hidden spot, so it's okay. The value of this would be, for insurance, $9,000 to $10,000.
GUEST: $9,000 to $10,000?! Oh, my goodness. That's wonderful. That's wonderful.
