APPRAISED VALUE (2016)

$3,000 - $20,000 Retail

Event
Charleston, SC (2015)
Update: February 29, 2016
When this beautiful platinum and diamond shuttlecock pin was recorded in August 2015, appraiser Gloria Lieberman recommended that the sapphire be tested by a gemological laboratory for certification. The result is in: the sapphire is from Cambodia! Lieberman informed us the wholesale value as of February 2016 is $4,000 to $6,000. She added, "In the future I feel Cambodian sapphires will probably gain in value as they can be just as beautiful as Kashmirs and Burmas, but the public has not been familiar with that country of origin. It will take time."
