GUEST: My dad's aunt bought it back in the '20s. It's something that's been in our house since I was a child. It was a toy for me. I've had it ever since. It's just something that I grew up with.
APPRAISER: It's Gibson's Style Three uke. They made a Style One, Style Two, Style Three. The Three had these snowflake inlays, it had multiple bindings around the top and the back out of white celluloid.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: White celluloid pegs, mahogany back and sides, mahogany top.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: Rosewood fingerboard. It is about 1928, '29, right then. After that, it would have just said probably just "Gibson" instead of "The Gibson."
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: And it's in a very attractive original hard case in great condition. Altogether, it's one of the cleanest, nicest Style Three ukes I've seen. On a retail level, this is worth about $2,000.
GUEST: Wow. That's phenomenal. That’s wonderful.
APPRAISER: More than you thought?
GUEST: Oh, yeah, way more than I thought.
