GUEST: This is a bronze that belonged to my father. He was in the antique business in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He collected small bronzes, and, and also steins, was the main things that he took home from the store to put it in his home.

GUEST: Yes. I could read his cost code, and he paid $42 for it.

APPRAISER: Okay. This is a late-19th-century French bronze model of the Arc de Triomphe.

GUEST: Okay.

APPRAISER: So it's a Grand Tour piece. So this is when all the gentlemen are traveling to Paris and to Italy and going on their wonderful tour to see all the great monuments. And they would have stopped at, in Paris, and they would have seen the Arc de Triomphe, and they would have wanted a souvenir. This little top portion lifts up, and it's a jewelry box. And the original velvet is still there.

GUEST: Yes.

APPRAISER: It's beautiful. My auction estimate would be $2,000 to $3,000.
