GUEST: They're my father-in-law's. He gave them to us. Um, he was kind of cleaning house and they were his childhood toys.
APPRAISER: And there were a few more of them, right?
GUEST: Yeah, there's several more. I picked these pieces because I thought they were in decent shape. And these all have names on them.
APPRAISER: Yeah.
GUEST: Yes, yeah. And that was the other reason, is they had stickers.
APPRAISER: These are, of course, cast iron. All from the '20s and '30s. You mentioned that they had names on them. As you can see, this one is Kenton. And they're classic American toys. This is a cute little Hubley motorcycle. It's marked right inside there.
GUEST: Oh, it is.
APPRAISER: "Hubley." These toys were made in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. And this little guy is worth about $200. So, that was a nice pick.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: And... this wonderful Kenton coal truck with operating coal dump. How does that work?
GUEST: There you go.
APPRAISER: All right. Complete with the original driver.
GUEST: Yeah.
APPRAISER: It's worth about $800 or $900.
(chuckling)
GUEST: Really?
APPRAISER: So, that was a good pick, too.
GUEST: Yeah, okay.
APPRAISER: Yeah, yeah. And this, this is all original. It's really charming with the detail of the bottles there. And as we said, it has the Hubley decal. This is a decal; these are very easily scratched off.
GUEST: Mm-hmm.
APPRAISER: This is another one, even in this condition, which is kind of weak, is in the $800 or $900 range.
(giggling)
APPRAISER: So, that's not bad.
GUEST: Really.
APPRAISER: Now, this one is a little rough because the decal here on the Indian motorcycle was a little...
GUEST: I didn't even know what that...
APPRAISER: There was a decal there that says "Indian Motorcycle," but it does have the original decal here
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: on the back marking Hubley. And it does have the original handlebars and the original driver.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: Paint's a little weak, but... this one is a really nice one. This one at an auction would probably bring around $2,500.
(laughing)
GUEST: No, really? Wow. Wow.
APPRAISER: So... you managed to pick a few nice ones.
GUEST: Good, good.
APPRAISER: So all together, around $4,500 worth of toys here.
GUEST: Good, all right.
APPRAISER: And you say there's a few more left.
GUEST: I probably, we probably have maybe about another dozen pieces.
APPRAISER: Whoa.
GUEST: So...
APPRAISER: Well, let's hope the rest are as good as these.
GUEST: Yeah. All right, thank you.
APPRAISER: Hey, thanks for bringing them in.
GUEST: All right.
