APPRAISED VALUE (2023)

$6,200 - $8,400 Auction

Update: February 15, 2024
In January 2024, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW was contacted by a viewer who noted that the artist’s nickname, BEATO, was not a shortened version of Beatrice Wood. Rather, it was a nickname given to her by Radha Rajagopal, Wood’s childhood best friend and daughter of Rosalind Rajagopal, co-founder of the Besant Hill School of Happy Valley in Ojai, California.   Wood’s childhood nickname stuck, and she began to signing all of her pottery as BEATO.
