GUEST: I actually bought it at an auction about ten years ago.
APPRAISER: Can you tell me how much you paid for this photograph?
GUEST: $250.
APPRAISER: You know that it was a photograph during a Mass celebrated by Pope John...
GUEST: Paul II.
APPRAISER:...Paul II.
GUEST: Yes.
APPRAISER: And it was in San Antonio.
GUEST: Yes.
APPRAISER: And it was in 1987. There were actually 350,000 people that celebrated Mass. Eugene Goldbeck was an iconic San Antonio photographer. And what he did was do these large panoramas. He traveled to Egypt, he went to Paris, he went to Peru and photographed some of the really important areas there. He photographed the skyline of Paris, he photographed the pyramids. I think in today's retail market, this photograph would sell for $1,000.
GUEST: Wow. Nice.
APPRAISER: Yeah. Yeah, thank you for bringing it in.
GUEST: Thank you very much.
