Update: December 24, 2018
In this segment appraiser Phil Weiss remarks that no one had flown nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean before Charles Lindbergh did so, from New York to Paris in the “Spirit of St. Louis,” in May 1927. However, as a viewer pointed out following this broadcast, although Lindbergh was the first to perform the feat solo, the Atlantic had already been navigated successfully by the two-man team of John Alcock and Arthur Brown, who flew from Newfoundland to Ireland in June 1919.
