Tapping into Morse Code

Morse code is an international language for transmitting messages by wire or radio using signals whose tapped duration is short (dots) or long (dashes). It was invented in the mid-19th-century by the artist and inventor Samuel F.B. Morse (1791-1872) for use on another of his inventions, the telegraph. Dots and dashes are used to represent letters, numbers, and punctuation, as such:
