This photo of the screen from a fish finder shows the area the boat has just passed over, which reaches to a depth of 140 feet. The image reading is much less clear than that of a sidescan sonar. It shows:

A. The surface clutter that is created by turbulence around the transducer.

B. Individual fish.

C. School of fish hovering above the reef.

D. Reef area, showing rocks above and harder bottom below.

E. Digital readout of depth, water temperature, and boat speed.
