NOVA Presents Comic Science
First… the science. (This will only take a second.)
The hippocampus is a small part of the brain located in the temporal lobe.
It is responsible for the creation of long-term memories, and also helps us navigate.
Why is it called the hippocampus?
Because it's shaped like a seahorse (Genus: Hippocampus)
And now… the joke!
What did Professor Hippocampus say at his retirement party?
Professor Hippocampus: "Thanks for the memories…"
