Well, you&#8217;re about to. We&#8217;re pulling out the stops for a special film coming up: <em><strong>The Calling<\/strong><\/em> by Danny Alpert. The two-part series airs on back-to-back nights December 20 and 21 at a special time &#8211; 9 PM on PBS nationwide. In a special, exclusive preview event on Thursday, December 9, we&#8217;re hosting our first-ever live online social screening followed by a live panel discussion and chat.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nAlpert&#8217;s film explores the nature of &#8220;a calling&#8221; through seven young people of various faiths who are pursuing careers in the clergy. What makes young people in the United States go into religious careers at a time when &#8212; if you look at what is celebrated by the mainstream media &#8212; it seems almost an anachronism in modern American society? It&#8217;s a dialogue that the filmmaker has continued as an open conversation on the website What&#8217;s Your Calling?<\/p>\n<p>To extend that conversation even further, we&#8217;re hosting our first-ever social media screening of the film, followed by a panel discussion with the seven subjects of the film as well as Danny Alpert, coming up this Thursday, December 9 from 5:30pm PT \/ 8:30pm ET.
